Celexa (Citalopram)

The
pills of Celexa come in the elongated shape of white, pink or coral colors
depending on the dosage and the producer. The usual dosages for one tablet,
which contains citalopram, are 10, 20 and 40 mg. This drug is an antidepressant
from the group of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. The active component
is citalopram.

use

Celexa
is a medicine designed to treat depression and also for relapse prevention,
treat panic disorder with or without agoraphobia, and treat
obsessive-compulsive disorder. This drug has enough evidence today to be
registered as a well-tolerated and effective antidepressant medication. For
this reason, it is one of the most commonly used drugs to treat depression.
This medicine consists of a psychotropic drug that acts directly on the
neurotransmitter receptors of serotonin. Serotonin is a very important brain
substance that performs numerous functions. Among them, stands out the
regulation of human mood.
